Half-Life 2: D.I.P.R.I.P. Mod V1.0 Installer - File Description

Description:
D.I.P.R.I.P.'s gameplay is based on vehicle combat in various post-war environments. Vehicles use multiple weapon mounts which are activated by finding weapons scattered around the battle grounds. Planned game types are deathmatch, teamdeathmatch and capture the flag. There will also be a possibility to enable players to upgrade their vehicles' weapons and subsystems through the use of a 'money for damage' system.

Action takes place in varied post-war sceneries. Key places in the post-war world are areas rich in uncontaminated water and fueal. Most of the terrain has been left in a mechanically unchanged state. Abandoned city centers, hipermarkets, refineries, country food storages, old military bases and other such places are the scenery of raging battles.

This is the client installer for the V1.0 Demo. Grab the server files if you wish to host one HERE

1. Requirements
D.I.P.R.I.P. DEMO v1.0 is using the Episode 1 Source Engine version. It is required that you have Source SDK Base and Half-Life 2 installed in order to run the game.

2. Installation Instructions
Please remove any old DIPRIP installations from your hard drive before proceeding. The installation directory should point to your Steam\SteamApps\SourceMods if it does not please point it there manualy. The DIPRIP mod folder will be created automatically.

3. D.I.P.R.I.P. Mapping
The diprip.fgd file that is required for mapping is included in the main mod directory. You will have to add halflife2.fgd and hl2mp.fgd to your game configuration files inside hammer in order to have all required entities visible. D.I.P.R.I.P. uses info_player_deathmatch as the starting entity. Please visit the official D.I.P.R.I.P. forums for more information about D.I.P.R.I.P. mapping - http://diprip.com/forum/

4. Known Issues in v1.0
=====
- WARNING! server tickrate 33 command causes unexpected game physics behavior. DO NOT USE this setting as the game may become unplayable. Using the default tickrate setting is recommended.
- rare crash after a very long player inactivity time
- rare physics collision anomaly when a car would be "pushed" under the map or inside a solid object
- when playing as a listen server the camera movement is very "jumpy" on some machines
- high ping causes decreased car handling. Movement prediction shall be added in future releases
- vehicle engine sounds sometimes disappear for a short moment
- vehicle respawn countdown does not end after a player is killed before the countdown reaches 0
- jumping at high speed and angle while using turbo can sometimes enable a car to fly
- missing vehicle skid sounds
- missing spectator mode
- dynamic shadows rarely disappear when there are too many dynamic shadow casting objects visible at one time
- demo smoother camera can not be "detached" from the player's vehicle
- HL2 HEV suit power HUD appears for a while in very rare situations
====

If you would encounter any crashes while playing D.I.P.R.I.P. please send us the .mdmp (crash dump) file from that crash to diprip@gmail.com. The .mdmp files can be found at "Steam\SteamApps\ACCOUNTNAME\source sdk base". The file name includes a timestamp of the crash so there shouldn't be any problems with finding the correct file.
